A $62 million award from the U.S. EPA Solar for All program will support the Midwest Tribal Energy Resources Association (MTERA) in building a transformative Tribal energy program across EPA Region 5. Of the region’s 36 Tribes, 27 are MTERA members.
With this award, MTERA will create a dynamic program that Tribal energy champions can use to promote workforce development and access technical assistance for solar installations, energy storage, and facility upgrades. This program will harness Tribal expertise and involve a coalition of partners, including UW–Madison and the Clean Energy Community Initiative.
